COMPREHENSIVE EYE CHECK UP FOR ALL YOUR NEEDS

  • PEDIATRIC OPHTHALMOLOGY AND SQUINT

Pediatric Ophthalmology deals with children and their eye Problems .Children may not complain if they do not see out of one or both eyes.Sometimes the only clue may be poor performance in school as well viewing the blackboard at a very close distance.Hence all children need regular eye check-ups at the time of starting school and right through their school years.Of the many eye problems in children, the most important are refractive errors, squint and Amblyopia ( Lazy Eye).“Every Child Should have at least 3 Eye Examinations before he starts School”. Ideally a routine examination should be performed by a pediatrician when the child is born and then at least two routine eye examinations should be performed by a Pediatric Ophthalmologist first, when the child is around 2-3 years and the again at the age of 5 years before the child starts formal school
  • OCULOPLASTY, ORBIT, OCULAR ONCOLOGY

Oculoplasty deals with problems of Lids, their deformities -Congenital and Acquired, drooping of lids etc. We also examine patients suffering from Thyroid eye Disease, Lacrimal Sac problems and Orbital fractures.Ocular oncology involves the study and treatment of tumors that occur in or around the eye. These tumors may cause vision loss or loss of the eye itself; some tumors are potentially fatal, while others may be benign yet severely disfiguring. The treatment includes management of the tumor , reconstruction of the lids and restoring the cosmesis
  • CATARACT AND ITS MANAGEMENT :PHACOEMULSIFICATION CATARACT SURGEY WITH PREMIUM INTRAOCULAR LENS IMPLANTATION

A cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye that affects vision. Most cataracts are related to aging but can occur in younger individuals and kids due to aging. The most common symptoms of a cataract are Cloudy or blurry vision, Glare, the headlights, lamps, or sunlight may appear too bright. A halo may appear around lights. There may be poor night vision, double vision or multiple images in one eye or frequent prescription changes in your eyeglasses or contact lenses.A cataract needs to be removed when the vision loss interferes with your everyday activities.Cataract removal is one of the most common operations performed in Ophthalmology . It also is one of the safest and most effective types of surgery. The surgery is done by Phacoemulsification and Premium Intraocular Lenses are Implanted which give a very good quality of Vision.

VISION THERAPY

  • AMBLYOPIA THERAPY

AMBLYOPIA is the medical term used when the vision in one of the eyes is reduced because the eye and the brain are not working together properly. This condition is also sometimes called lazy eye. TREATMENT involves Correcting the underlying cause like glasses for the refractive error, treatment for the Squint and Surgery for cataracts.Patching is the gold standard treatment . We have to force the child to use the eye with weaker vision by covering the good eye with a Patch. An adhesive patch is worn over the stronger eye for weeks to months. Patching stimulates vision in the weaker eye and helps parts of the brain involved in vision develop more completely. We also prescribe several exercises on synaptophore and soft ware based in office and home exercises
  • BINOCULAR VISION THERAPY

Binocular vision impairment is any visual condition wherein binocular visual skills are inadequately developed. This may be due to presence of a squint or weakness of eye muscles or eye fatigue due to excessive use of Visual Display terminals. At our Binocular vision clinic, we perform a comprehensive eye examination of the important binocular visual skills like tracking, fusion, stereopsis, convergence and accommodation .Visual Motor Integration problems like difficulty in focusing, double vision, eye fatigue are diagnosed and treated with exercises. We provide software based in office Eye Exercises and we also train the patient in home Exercises

AESTHETIC CLINIC

  • RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERIES

Aesthetic surgery has become an increasingly important part of oculoplastic surgery during the past couple of decades. All patients who have had a disfigurement due to accident and require reconstructive surgery for fractures and soft tissue injuries.Patients with complex orbital and facial conditions such as tumours (benign and malignant), as well as congenital or acquired deformities need reconstructive surgery. Blepharoplasty is performed to contour the lids by surgical removal of the excess skin, muscle and fat. It’s done for cosmetic purpose and also for medical reasons in patients with Blepharophimosis syndrome to provide them a better vision
  • BOTOX AND FILLERS

Aesthetics is no longer in the domain of only the women, as was traditionally the case. Men today account for a considerable percentage of population seeking aesthetic procedures.Botox injectionis given for medical conditions like Hemifacial spasm, Blepharospam and also for age related wrinkles. Fillers are given for removal of static wrinkles.
  • OCULAR PROSTHESIS

An ocular prosthesis is a type of prosthesis that replaces an absent natural eye following an enucleation, evisceration, or orbital exenteration. The prosthesis fits over an orbital implant and under the eyelids. It is made of medical grade plastic acrylic.A variant of the ocular prosthesis is a very thin hard shell known as a scleral shell which can be worn over a damaged or eviscerated eye. An ocular prosthesis does not provide vision; but provides a good cosmesis
